KITCHEN
The main part of the kitchen (cabinets, fridge, stove) started out as a playset (My Modern Kitchen) that I bought on eBay. It came in some ugly colors, so the first thing was to paint it black and silver. Brian made a base for the pieces so they would stand a little bit higher and look better for the 12 inch dolls. I tiled the back splash with some sticker tiles. In the fridge and cabinets are real Tupperware containers (sold as keychains).
I ground real spices for the tiny spics bottles and added labels to it. The Bullshit cheese and baguette is Re-Ment brand.
Many of the boxes in the cabinets, fridge and freezer are boxes that I scanned from my own groceries and made smaller.
On the other side of the kitchen is this beautiful hutch that Brian built, filled with Re-Ment glassware and tea sets and Hallmark mini ornaments on top for the holidays. Brian also built the table, here covered in a table cloth sewn by me. The chairs are issued by Integrity Toys, made after the real life size ghost chairs.
A better look at the table and chairs. Another of my favorites is the shelving rack against the back wall, with Le Creuset pots (magnets) and more Tupperware and Re-Ment. The glass piece hanging over it I made in a glass class at a local art store.
How many favorite items can I have in this doll house? Probably a hundred. Behold the butcher block, where Brian cut and glued a ton of different color tiny pieces of wood together and cut cross sections for the top and shelf. Metal legs are from IT doll stands. Brian also made the block of knives.
After Thanksgiving the Christmas goodies come out. Cookie platter is a Hallmark ornament, cupcakes are handmade by an Etsy seller. Coffee and hot chocolate is Re-Ment.
